There are many different types of oak bookcases, and we have a good variety on offer at Oak Furniture Land, our trading partner.
The first thing you will need to do is to measure the space that the oak bookcase will be going into. There is a wide range of sizes on offer, to suit small alcoves or wide walls. The Cairo Slim Jim, for example, is only 40cm wide and will go places that other bookcases will not fit into. They also come in varying heights, both full height or half-height. The Newark Low is 85cm high – compare this to the Oakdale Tall at 177cm. Oak corner bookcases are also a consideration. And if your preference is pine then browse our range of pine bookcases – there really is a bookcase for everyone!
Oak bookcases come in a variety of styles so you can match them in with your existing furnishings and decor.
The more traditional look can be found in the curved trim of designs like the Cairo range. If you prefer straighter lines and a more modern, clean look, then consider Pablo, Alto and many others.
The last main consideration is the actual arrangements of shelves. Some oak bookcases like the Nero have no back and can also be used edge-on the wall as a stunning room divider. Most of them, however, do have a solid back. It is possible to get an oak bookcase with a drawer or two like the Tokyo which features four book shelves and two drawers. Others, like many of the Cairo range, have a hinged cupboard at the base. This is a good way to hide items that need to be kept out of sight.
